According to a recent research by British researchers wherein they claimed to have uncovered a mechanism that explains why taking fish oil pills can help cure the conditions like rheumatoid arthritis. This research shows that fish oils have a larger role to play in mans total health and fitness and it comes as a relief since rheumatoid arthritis is a common problem faced by many people, after certain age, through out the world.
The research team has shown in their research how the body converts an ingredient found in oils fish into another chemical called Resolvin D2 and how this chemical reduces the inflammation that leads to number of diseases, including arthritis, which is a good indication that fish oils can cure arthritis.
Treatment of many diseases including sepsis, stroke and arthritis can be based on Resolvin D2. The research team focused their study at a particular ingredient of fish oils called DHA and showed how the body converts DHA into Resolvin D2. Leading research professor Mauro Perretti, professor of Immunopharmacology at Queen Mary, University of London was quoted by a magazine as saying “We have known for some time that fish oils can help with conditions like arthritis which are linked to inflammation”.
